Brand Guide Book & Rhetorical Outline
Our LogoA beautiful natural phenomena is a rainbow. Just like the society we live in, a rainbow is full of different colors, and although the colors may be distinctly different, they come together to form a ray of colors because of the rain. Similarly, our society is full of differences and we can come together to create a community where we can celebrate differences and take pride in the attributes and qualities that make us unique. |
Principles of Design
Color choices The bright colors we chose to work with give a youthful aesthetic to our site and appeal to a younger audience. We specifically chose vibrant shades of basic colors such as red, yellow, purple, and blue to give a bold tone, and show our readers we are proud of what we stand for, and we aren’t afraid to speak up about the issues presented. We didn’t want to limit ourselves to only a few colors, but chose to include a diverse spectrum to convey the idea of diversity in our site, and show how different elements can come together and unify to make something unique and beautiful. |
TypographyWe chose to use bold, thick fonts for the main titles to express confidence and really jump out at the reader. These bolded titles also have a youthful and friendly vibe showing that our goal is to send a positive and hopeful message about the issues presented. For other elements of the text such as article titles and other captions of text, we used a more standard font that varies from the light and fun tone to show that these issues are real and encourages the readers to take them seriously. It also shows our readers that although we send a positive and youthful message, we are serious about what we do. |
Images used
We chose to use pictures of protesters as a lot of our images because it visually demonstrates to our audience that it is possible to come together as one and be proactive in fixing the way things are done in our country.
